About my work

I paint mostly in oil. Having covered most subjects, my favourite has to be London, which is where I was born in 1963.

 My pictures are sometimes an attempt to paint a memory.

Whether rough sleeping in the city, or during better times on the coast, I've always painted with emotion.

Some pictures seem a bit lonely, and when there are people, I sometimes like to be one of them.

I'm walking away from you in this picture, along Brewer St, Soho. The other three, who I'm about to avoid by stepping into the phone box, are people I once knew.

Previous commissions include The Crowned Prince of Dubai and The King of Saudi Arabia.
